Life can be really challenging sometimes, and I believe that it is possible for anyone to notice feeling stuck due to difficult situational factors, a significant loss, or difficult thoughts and feelings getting in the way of what matters most to us. However, I also believe that it is possible to take meaningful action towards what matters most in the presence of difficulty, and my role is focused on equipping you with the tools, skills and strategies necessary to help you accomplish your goals. I consider it to be an incredible privilege to walk alongside individuals on their journey, and help to facilitate meaningful change and growth. My passion is assisting you in determining what your most full and meaningful life looks like, and then identifying and implementing action-oriented strategies to assist you in pivoting towards your valued direction.
I have experience and expertise in assisting individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief, stress, relationship issues, workplace difficulties, career change considerations and chronic pain. I have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Behavioural Activation (BA), Motivational Interviewing (MI), exposure work, and mindfulness-based strategies. My therapeutic approach consists primarily of a tailored integration of these therapeutic modalities to best serve my clients.
Physical activity and exercise recommendations are also important treatment components, as they are integral to our mental health and overall well-being. A healthy work-life balance is important to me and I enjoy reading, golfing, practicing yoga and travelling. I love spending time with my family, and really enjoy hiking with her husband and Weimaraner. I look forward to working with you, and committing to helping you to do what matters most.
