Karen is a Registered Psychotherapist and has a degree in Psychology from York University and a Masters level Diploma in Psychotherapy from Transformational Arts College in Toronto. She is also a Certified Life Coach and has helped many of our clients in defining and executing on their personal and professional roadmaps and goals.
These are times of massive change in peoples lives. With families spread out and apart, self-quarantine, social distancing, job loss, threat of illness, child care/schooling, marital stress and grief. In many respects lots of broken plans requiring lots of new decisions to be made and paths to be forged. Karen has and continues to help many individuals and couples navigate and find a path to move forward in these difficult times helping people realize their best self/selves. Karen supports clients with issues related to the pandemic, helping to guide them through the upheaval that has been thrust upon all of us.
She takes a holistic approach to therapy, gaining an understanding of not only who you are as a person but the dynamics affecting your life.
Karen specializes in anxiety, depression, grief, end of relationships, divorce, co-parenting plans, post-partum depression, hormonal changes, domestic violence and sexual abuse to name a few areas. She employs a holistic approach integrating various psychotherapy disciplines to address all aspects of someone’s life, experiences and surroundings.
Karen is in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals.
