Kerri MA RPRegistered Psychotherapist & Life Coach

    Ease. Authenticity. Deep connection. Joy.

These embody my values and what I strive for in all my sessions and interactions.  I am consistently moving towards these with you – and depending on the issue it can take less or more interactions.

That One magic pill or quote, which will create a fulfilling life, exists is a big stretch – instead this takes daily work.  I believe that in working openly together that I can help you reach your goals and to overcome issues that you have not been able to on your own.

At the beginning of my career, I wasn’t sure I was pursuing the right path.  I began working with a coach and my life shifted. I realized that I needed to better understand what truly motivated and fit with me, and what I wanted as opposed to trying to live out another persons personal playbook. I will work with you to piece by piece create your own roadmap and strategies for achieving your own unique goals and aspirations.

For over 15 years, I have worked as a coach, guidance counsellor and now a psychotherapist, helping others become more self-aware, self-compassionate and inspired to move closer to who they truly are.  With this wisdom of the self, I believe it is possible to overcome, move through overwhelm and underwhelm, and live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

    My background.

    • Honours Degree in Psychology
    • Bachelor’s of Education
    • 20 years experience working in public and independent schools as a teacher and guidance counsellor
    • I have been a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach
    • Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology
    • Registered Psychotherapist (*Qualifying see below) with the College of Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario (CRPO) after completing my internship at Trent University’s Counselling Centre.

    My general approach:

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a modern version of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and have found it to be a perfect intersection of coaching and counselling.  Research has found that ACT is effective in working with anxiety and depression, as well as life transitions, feeling stuck and wanting more or wanting less. ACT aims to help people build a life that is fulfilling and guided by values.

I am a mom, a wife, a sister, a daughter, and a friend.  I am an expressive introvert and a passionate life-long learner. My deepest interests are in self-awareness, emotional health and helping people discover the life they want to live.

I am here to help you discover or rediscover your strengths, your values, what makes you feel alive and support you as you move forward.
